Boldly Riding What No Captain Has Before... The Rivet!

Shatner Inspired, Kirk Approved!

At 84 years old it seems that William Shatner is as young at heart today as he was back when he sat in the captain's chair. He is preparing for an eight day journey on the Rivet due to take place on June 23rd, 2015. Departing from Chicago, his final destination will be Los Angeles. Described by its architects, American Wrench, as a land jet, it will feature, amongst many things, a V8 engine and all the styling cues of Jojo Krako's getaway car. It doesn't stop here, however. Apparently, the former captain of the Enterprise wouldn't settle for anything less than a piece of the action. Not only will he be piloting this trike, but he also contributed to the design of the Rivet which will be sold in limited quantities to space faring adventurers who have enough latinum. Best of all, this campaign is specifically designed to raise awareness about the American Legion.

While this may not be the first time a famed former captain of an Enterprise has elected to try something different then your typical shuttle craft, I think we can all agree that the Rivet would be something that even the Klingons would think twice about dispensing to Stovokor. There is just no denying it, even at 84, our beloved Captain Kirk still has it...

    2. Come on now we're scratching the bottom of the barrel...Will the "masking tape" be their version of the "Scout?"

  2. Chicago to Los Angeles sounds like it would be fatiguing on the Rivet . I wonder if it has a cup holder? Would appreciate one with that push-pull steering, can't hold my beer between my legs all the time.

  3. Something about the design of the Rivet reminds me of the old 1930's Buck Rogers stylings. I'd once seen a tri-wheel all-aluminum car from the movie series, perhaps that is what I'm seeing comparatively.

  4. I like the idea of what he's doing, but the "bike" looks butt ugly to me.

  6. Is it me or does it look like it needs a wooden lever on the side to kick the feet out on the seat?

  8. I very much liked the Star Trek series and I never met the man, but I suspect he's as phony in real life as when he's acting. He insists it needs a canopy.

With that and its three wheels it sounds like he wants a car that he can pretend is a bike.

  10. For me, everything Shatner is involved with becomes repulsive. He's 1000X more obnoxious than he was in those early days on Star Trek.

And worse yet, this is the real Shatner!
