The Iconic TinTin Now Adorns My Hand With A Spark Plug Above for Good Measure!
Todd Beck and I decided to go with something more playful this week! Since 1929 Tin Tin has been a staple of children's lives worldwide thanks to his creator, Hergé. Some of my fondest childhood memories were of walking down to the city hall library to read the many adventures of Tin Tin and his faithful companion Snowy. What better way to commemorate the ol chap than by having him ride his steel horse into the sunset with me. The Spark Plug was a great filler and is aptly dedicated to the man who left me with nothing but his name. At least he didn't call me Sue! 😜 Now you may be thinking about getting a tattoo on your hand. At 40 years old with a permanent tertiary academic teaching position, I am at the point in my life where I need to do what is right for me. I accept that this may limit certain opportunities as a result but then I also know that those opportunities were not meant for me anyways. I like to think that I am at the age where my experience speaks for me and not my appearance. That and also times have changed. It's also partly why I decided to get Tin Tin because he is a beloved icon amongst francophones especially. Thus, it's a playful and tasteful tattoo that will stand the test of time. So take your time and make your decision wisely. Give Todd a shout today if you're looking for a great tattoo! 😜
